Our mission is to intervene in the lives of people whose surroundings are plagued with the illicit use of illegal drugs, gang activities, other adverse influences, and poverty.
Our Impact
Over the years, we have impacted thousands of young people and families through our various programs. We work with people living in desperation, with little hope for their future, others lacking self-esteem, low confidence, and don't know heads from tails; we help get them thriving, gaining healthy perspectives and outlooks. We are proud of the positive impact we have made in their lives.
Our Approach
Fresh Start Intervention is a holistic program designed to deal with the total person (spirit, body, and soul) in prevention and intervention. Services are offered to youth and adults residing in the Proviso- Leyden Township areas. The program aims to provide structured, supervised services for youth and their families and resources for the communities. We understand their needs, therefore ensuring sustainable solutions.
Educational Enhancement provides tutoring in GED preparation and homework assistance, driver's license obtainment, and more. Gang and Drug Prevention touches on street life through practical and personal experiences. It also educates about the illicit use and effects of street drugs and misuse of prescribed and other drugs. Life Skills covers practical, everyday techniques such as parenting, sex education, nutrition/fitness, organizing, planning, prioritizing, and the importance of follow-up.
